Cool open BEM code for bio-electromagnetics

Yesterday morning I saw Thanos Polimeridis give a great talk on BEM for magnetic resonance imaging.  He’s released two software packages for BEM under the LGPL, which can be found here.  Great to meet you, Thanos!

Multiscale modeling pioneers win 2013 Nobels in Chemistry!

Profs. Martin Karplus, Michael Levitt, and Arieh Warshel have been awarded the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Well deserved.  Congratulations!

Useful advice for equality and diversity in science

Tenure, She Wrote has become one of my favorite blogs since I found out about it a few weeks ago.  You should check it out, and especially read “Don’t be that dude: Handy tips for the male academic” if you happen to fall into that demographic.
